Wisconsin Failure to Yield Right of Way Course
100% Online Course
Course Description:
The Wisconsin Failure to Yield Right of Way Course is designed to educate drivers on the essential rules and regulations governing right-of-way in Wisconsin. This comprehensive online course focuses on promoting safe driving practices and preventing accidents caused by failure to yield. Through a structured learning approach, participants will explore Wisconsin statutes, such as 346.18 and 346.23 - 346.29, which detail the respective rights and duties of drivers, pedestrians, bicyclists, and other road users.
Key topics include determining the right-of-way in various traffic scenarios, including intersections, pedestrian crossings, and interactions with vulnerable road users such as motorcyclists and bicyclists. Students will also gain insights into the "share the road" philosophy outlined in the Wisconsin Motorists’ Handbook and understand the critical importance of safeguarding vulnerable road users.
The course consists of instructional content followed by a 15-question final assessment consisting of multiple-choice questions. This final assessment is timed at 30 minutes and must be completed with a minimum passing score of 80% (12/15). Students are allowed two attempts to pass the final assessment. If the student does not achieve a passing score on the first attempt or on the second attempt, they will be required to re-register for the course and pay the registration fee again. This course is suitable for drivers seeking to improve their knowledge of right-of-way laws and enhance their driving skills to create a safer driving environment for all road users in Wisconsin.
